Holy Mage Prop/Costume: Holy mace and (Re)-Progres

OK GUYS!! FINALLY!! I got some good news and the bad news. The Good News is, My props are now get back on its own track. After 1 week of my failed props progress(the one that end up in the Rubbish dump) are now back to its original shape and smaller. Also, Re-Design the top mace of mine really cost me lots of sit back. However, in my family, I was as King of Last minutes.(it was the same meaning of "all nighter") And for the last 3 days, I was like up until 4.00 AM (GMT+8.00) and yeah, i looks like a human size Zombies. Also, There is a last minutes call from one of my friends who told me about the Japanese Festival which will be on from 7th October 2011 Until 10 October 2011. However, I will be on 10 October 2011 Which is falls on Next Sunday. MOREOVER!! I ONLY HAD LIKE 7 DAYS!!!! DANM IT!! Followings are the mace that i was manage to pull it up with ^^

I know... you saw a break part there. yes it is. It was started from a crack, then yeah as time passes and that things already bond to the lower part of the mace, I found it troublesome for me to make the top of my mace ==. as i out it down everyway i can get, yeah,knocked it a little and that is what you got =.=




Also, as a additional of that, Despite that there is a wig out there selling it like U$D 5.00 on each wig(around RM20.00-RM30.00) at the nearest E Noveal store, I still prefer use my Real hair,(since it looks really nice and the way i wanted it to be. About myself

Well...... I do not know if this is the updates. However, I probably need to describe myself a little more. Well, First of all my name is Wilson Chin. Or Wilson Chin Chee Vui as my full name. Age 24.(25 Soon in this coming December 14) I'm a person that not all able to accept me of who I am. Well, there must be a reason for that. Peron that loves to do cosplay, which started back 2009. Self Proclaim Street cosplayer. I do not know what i need to say here, since my Emotions are now mixed up at this rate. Reason? Well... its simple. An anime name Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai. (あの日見た花の名前を僕達はまだ知らない, "We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day."), also known as AnoHana for short. That Anime I didn't watch it. Until hours ago. I watch anime in which the anime itself able to make me cry. I first listen to the OP/ED of an anime, then I will go watch it if the Song of it really suits my taste. Except Clannad. For that anime, I really dunno how I get to watch it. All I remember was, on June 2008 I watch 2 types of anime. Rozen Maiden and Clannad. at that point, I really don get it why I watch Animes. in addition, I did cry back then. Then the next following 3 Days, I was like All down Looking sucker/Looser.( as if I lost something important to me) I've become a 20% hikikomori. Meaning a person that isolated from the from.(well not entirely coupe up in my room) It just, as if something bothering me on something, yet I do not know what was that. 2 years before, Around December 2006 it was when my mom undergo some Heart related Operation, at that time, my house didn't have internet access/ Broadband. However, I do own a Ps 1 console back there. Now looking Back, it was somehow fell Nostalgic. Now its 2011. lots of things changed in me Compared the Wilson back in 2006. Some of my old friend say that I still looks like how i looks like back 2001(when i was age 14 Taking UPSR). Acted like the way i often did, lots of people not understand me. I don't blame them. Sure I got some people that dislike my attitude, cause they don understand me. Thank god that some of my old friends who don understand me being nice to me ^^ and take me as a normal person. There is a phrase saying "people change through time." well they are they are right.

Props hunting( parts/materials.

well.... Today seems to be tooo hot for me to move around. And today i was toooo tired, (Thanks to what i did last night.) NO, ITs not that i had some private stuff or bad thing that I did on the night time. its not what you think it was. It was like i was tooo tired try to figured it out on how to deal with the Props of mine. and THE up coming Convention AKA Hobbycon 2011 are just 2 months to go. And i was looking forward my props will make it on the day. Costume are fine. Though looks like it was toooo worn out. However, Next year I will try to make the different out of it. the only thing i need was the front Apron, and the head band( i use the Cown that i will hit the shop and buy it xD. Also, The side wing for my holy Crown are done, Still need some patter to put on, As for the back loop thingy, I plan not to used it since its hard for me to do. Any how, i will share the updates over the blog.

Okay.... So what should i start for today's update with? Should I say that I failed on the last props? Or should i start with new Matterials that I got? Well Anyhow there is some major changes. The changes are, I will using the Alluminium stripe or metal Stripes, Alloy stripes, Whatever the name is xD. credits goes to TalasCosplayvlog(The Videos that I posted early on). However, Talk about Technicquie, I iwll try to combine her Ideas and mine and (FINGER CROSS AND HOPE IT TURNS OUT WELL) xD. Following are the materials. Chat I found. Most FUnny thing was thie Metal Stripes.

If you asking me Where the hell I got it? well the answer its pretty simple. from the nearest Rubbish dump xD. well to be accurate, its more like at the nearby dustbin. Near Api api centre 1st floor. I was happen to roaming around that place. THen suddenly this things (the metal Stripes) poking out from that dust bin. THen immediately, my mind was like "WTF!! ITS THAT THING!!! ITS THE THING THAT TALAS TOLD ME ABOUT!!!....." and yeah i straight go and have a looks of it( as if i was in shoping for something) xD and yeah, that is how it goes. As I try to put that danm thing into my bag, I had some hard time with it and I injured myself( a tiny cuts that is) no big deal. a litte scratch and thats all. Also Next are the Adhesive. The Adhesive are the PVC solvent Cement. AKA Liquid cement, PVC glue, Chemical Glue, whatever the name is. still small in amount(for testing Purpose that is). Also for adding Streeghtn, I will use the Poxy/ Epoxy glue(some 2 ton+ sticking power) hmmmmmmm.......... Sound like mouthfull of chocolate ice cream xD. any way here is the photos for the glue and how it looks like. the price for this danm thing was RM2.90. About USD 0.94. for that small danm thing xD. let us all finger cross for the out come. xD next up date will be on the new phase of things xD

prop making part 1 / 4 ( choosing prop)

Part 1 of making your props. For starters, it is common slightly of what you want to do now., or what you plan to do. Before you plan to make a props(regardless of what it is, or what it looks like or whatsoever, the first thing you need to do was, How do i deal with my props? How to I make the props what materials that suitable for making my props? well those question aren't for me, or for me to help you answer. you are the one that need to deal with it, and how you deal with it, is the other story. THe video here( although i was out of Topid already) still for me, if you ask me back those question, my answer is, messy and more brainsrotrm todo( though i doubt that it will be failed xD)

as For TOdays updates, My top mace really good as dead, and end up in the rubbish dump. Soon I found that the opposite wing of it,( the one that cut in half and use paper to support) the plastic of it pretty much bended out of shape, and already weaken(thanks to the scorchin heat from the sun) xD. Any how, New Ideas start to pop from my mind. and So i decide to use 100% metals instead. and make it more solid, and this time it will be metalic in color. Though price are 35.00 for the metal works, the metal smith agree to help me on that project. In addition, my ace are back to zero(except the rod) i am still using that thing back xD

Holy Mage Prop/Costume: Holy mace and Progres Part 4(the most messed up)

well.. Todays are the most messy among the other days. since the Project begin. THe reason that is was, today I got the Wood filler/ Plaster.

It only cost me RM2.90. I though it was like something around RM3.00. Servay Hyper market are some what really cheat on its items and somewhat Expansive on its items in one way or another. Also While on the Kota Kinabalu City,(Suria Sabah) I saw something that caught my eyes. The Tiara/Crown/ Head bad(you name). Inaddition, the price are around RM68.00 to RM170.00+. the following are what it looks like commonly as it is.

the top crown are my fav. The price are not that expansive, its in the size that i am looking for, and its looks like it can be hide with my hair xD. Of course, I will try it it on myself. there is one of the tiara/ Crown, didn't have the fork like thingy at the side of it. all it use was a rubber ben it provided to hold it. I didn't get the picture since i was spoted taking the picture( which is not allowed and I didn't noticed it) xD.

next are the progress of the top of my Holy mage and the orb. the first thing that I manage was the wing of that(which holds the orb in between. I open my newly bought the cement/ or whatever the name was, and do it in my ussual spot. Following are the image of the progress. The progress are start from where i last droped at. the Danm looking transparent wings that I striped it off xD.

as you can see, that is the extra place that i had. Until that white line was go it xD

Afther those Pain staking moments on controling my tempers, I finally manage to put something that will eventually help me along the way to make the pros of mine. Following are the first step of it.

Okay, Here is the part where the Tittle said it all. "The most messed up". The preparation are very, PAinfully messy yet, I learn something crucial on this. The diferent between the common COncrete that we saw, and this White thingy, is This is plaster, and this things really dries very fast. In addition, it dries up even more faster when you in a room with running fan or something. Following is how it suppose to looks like when i was doing it. This is before its looks like. Before i apply the plaster.

This is before it looks like uneven surface, and the gum still not fully dried (Thanks to the weather), When i need a sun to shine, it just go moddy this morning. xD.

This is what it looks like as it is now. The shape looks more 3D a like now, and seems like it was a real deal. During the process, there is lots of things happen. For Example, this wing Part, did appear to be a crack there.(its normal since i moved it around) The most important thing is, Leave it alone and don't you think that you can go testing it by pressing it.it was as fragile as the egg shell of a chicken. During the process, I wasn't able to take many pictures of it. Since my fingers was soooo danm messy at that time.

The last few PIctures are all about pointing out taht it should be done.

Next The mini Ball/ Orbs that i took it out and do practically the same way.

Holy Mage Prop/Costume: Holy mace and Progres Part 3

Hello Wolrd and welcome to my Universe. As for today's Update ther will be more or less things that i will going put up here, Since today, I spend my whole days couped up in my dealing with my holy mace. Following, are how it suppose to looks like. Though, the paint are uneven, Due to the Tissues are not that nice(its normal). So, My idea was, use the wood filler. However, there is 2 choice I need to consider here. Either i go aim for the Powder, which I need to add some waters on later when i need to used it(messy work,mixing is not what i am good at,Cheaper) or buy the Pre-made one (the one in the container) which will cost me more then the dry one. there is 2 color. Chocolate Color and the common white. As for Today, it was suppose to be my resting days after the works that I did. However, I was bored, and deal with my mace. Following are the Picture.

That one was a White color Paint. Previously, when i was testing earlier this year, that is what i did.

Afterwards, I spoted 1 place dind't have paint on( i tot it was that I missed it or something. when i pray it, suddenly the pain just Run away (LOL!!). In Addition, this is what i mean. a little spot that will make it looks nasty. This is what i mean by that.

After about 1 hour ago, I painted the place with the leftover paint. the result are pretty nice. Following are the looks of it. on the Sample Rod, it was straight away painted in blue. while the other one was a white paint.

Overall, Progress... running the way I wanted it. However, I still missing some materials that i need. The Wood filler. That things still baffles me and still in plan of which i need to get. =.= (I hate PLaning) especially if there is a sec ond though which i have to prevent it with. =.=


Next are.. Back to the wing part of my Mace. well remember that the other side was paper? well I did manage to solce the problem and it really look nice. However, the opposite side of it seems really out of shape. so i had to striped it off again, and redo the whole dame thing. Cause the Techniquie i used on the striped side are not like previously done. so now, I have to make it look right. Following are the image of how it was looks like.

Holy Mage Prop/Costume: Holy mace and Progres Part 2

Ok, today, there will be some trial paint go on the prop( well just a little glimps on how it suppose to looks like when its fully done. Before today, at 1.00PM, ME and My mother Debating once again, About the cosplay and the hobby con stuff.My mom told me that This year is my last to cosplay. cause, for her, the cosplayers are all Rich ass Type of per(well for me its for everyone), as long as they have hearst and wills to go and do it ^^. When i heard that this is what i looks like (=.=|||). I said to her this will be the last time i will be go on Costume(yeah Right, Like i gonna stop). Following are the New paint that i just bought.

The paint it self costed me RM21.00 (Thanks to the person that give me discount) Otherwise, will will be RM30.00.

TOdays from 2.15Pm, After i go out to get my Paint, I start dealing with my Holy Mace. everything was in good progress. The follwoing is the aftermath of my Chaotic paint work. I have to Use the mask, since the fumes of it will going to makes me fell sick,more over, the first one that was going in to paint was the Holy Orb or Magic Orb. xD. The Color that i used was Dark Blue( a failed bought paint) xD. and the following are the choas that i faced

DOn't ask me why teh mask itsel f colored like the coffe.( cause back in 2008 June ,during my holidays, I help out my sisters COffe factory as part timer.

Mask, that I use when i was paint/ spray the paint. cause teh FUmes of it and teh paint partical of it really stink, plus its a safety measure as well as healt measures to prevent taht from enterign my lovely lungs LOL!!

with that Last Image... It really reminds me of the Resident evil's Bio Weapon xD.

After that, its the Orb itself. The following are the looks of the orb, As it is now. After some 15+ sheets of tissues put in that, I finally ready to open the new and The last of the tissues paper box.

well I think that is the updates for today, As I progress more on Later today, as after this i gonna go to my niecess's Bd party ^^ cheer off guys,
